Why AUTOLEATHER?
Furniture or shoe leather can't serve a long time because of the number
of factors: difference in temperatures, fidgeting of passengers on
seats, influences of a sunlight and aggressive substances (the
fulfilled gases, sweat and etc.). In some months of daily
operation some cracks on a surface of these materials appear,
color can be changed, the top layer is erased. That is why it was
necessary for manufacturers to work out some improvement of
leather manufacturing technology which subsequently was named
automobile.
The auto leather surpasses the
"household" colleagues under many characteristics - it
is more rigid, color resistant, it is less inclined to extension,
is not afraid of chemical solvents (gasoline and etc.). Such
quality is achieved not by cultivation of the special breeds of
cattle, but owing to more complicated technological process of
manufacturing. After all traditional operations - manufactures,
paintings - a special polymeric sheeting is put on the leather and
is pressed. During the last operation the demanded figure is
received: "Mercedes", "BMW" or, for example,
"crocodile leather style". In auto tuning another kind
of a leather is used - punched, with fine apertures through
surface, providing ventilation. Usually the middle of seats is
covered with it.
Complex process of manufacturing influenced on the cost of auto leather
- it is noticeably more expensive than furniture leather. But we
wouldn't recommend to save money on it because the
work on tailoring isn't cheap and it will be unprofitable
to re-alter (work + material) because of the leather defects.
Also happens that some
companies use not only automobile (applied by us) leather, but
also furniture and even shoe leather. Sometimes clients aren't
informed about it and pay as for a qualitative material. To be on
the safe side ask the name (mark) of leather and where it was
made. If there are some doubts, it is better to come to us with
the sample of material which was offered and we'll help you to

ALCANTARA
Good alternative or addition to auto leather is àlcantara. It
appeared in 70th because of the deficiency of natural suede and
leather and there was a need for creation of a new
finishing material. Alcantara appeared to be an excellent material
for furnish not only furniture, but also car interiors. Under many
characteristics it surpasses the auto leather � it isn't
slippery, it heats up less in the sun, can be cleaned by many
washing liquids.
Unlike usual suede, àlcantara
can't be salted. This material is often used in combination with
auto leather, some inserts on seats and lateral coverings of doors
are finished with it. As àlcantara
possesses the improved properties, it is a bit more
expensive than regular leather.
Important
"trifles"
To make the car interior really original, it's not enough "to
dress" it in leather. There are a
lot of factors: selection of color and the invoice of
material and strings, a choice of seams, manufacturing of
inscriptions - embroidery or stamping.

we can draw a conclusion, that materials of two colors (shades)
are most often used. A lot of colors will make your interior
coarse.
The kind of seams also means a lot. Seams with bigger step and a bright
thick string are used in sport cars interior. A fine step and
strings in color of leather give to the interior elegance and
accuracy. The quality of the string is also important. We use 100
% Polyester strings of threefold torsion - they are very strong, do not
fade on the sun, moisture resistant (will not decay), have high
mechanical durability (resistance on break).

IMPORTANT
While finishing with leather it is very important to keep safety airbags
in working condition (they are installed in steering wheel, backs
of seats, covering of the ceiling and in the panel of devices).
The nonprofessional approach can break the algorithm of working of
car safety system, that can cause the airbags either will not
reveal at all, or will work with delay. In both cases passengers
will not be protected.
To make airbags work properly on the border of their opening we cut the
leather from the inside almost on full depth, and then we impose a
special seam which is easily torn at airbags opening.
The theme of airbags in leather
interiors which aren't made industrially is rather actual because
of the following reason. It happens that car interiors without
airbags are sheathed by leather with the inscription SRS Airbag.
Certainly, the presence of these safety means raises the cost of
the car. However buying such car from the unfair seller, the car
owner does not suspect that in emergency case the safety system
will not work.
A bit "about
sad"
A good leather interior is not cheap, that's for sure. Depending on type
of a material and complexity
of interior the furnish can cost from 500 up to 4000 Euro
and more, and the lowest price assumes the use of material of low
quality.
